This Jordan 5 Is Apparently For Carmelo Anthony’s Puerto Rico FC Soccer Club

Jordanheads are probably feeling quite curious about this Orange and White Air Jordan 5 colorway and many of them probably want to get their hands on it. One thing that it certain about the sneaker so far is that copping it might not be possible, because it is unlikely that its Jordan releases 2016 will take place, at least any time soon. That is because it seems that this Air Jordan 5 could be a Player Exclusive iteration, which has definitely been crafted for Carmelo Anthony’s soccer team. All that remains to be known is whether this is a custom or Jordan Brand’s handiwork.

Back in July 2015, power forward and small forward of the New York Knicks made an announcement at a news conference that he had purchased the Puerto Rico FC soccer club. Apparently, Carmelo is quite passionate about the sport of soccer. His club/team has now joined the North American Soccer League and will be playing this year. Now that Miami FC is also a part of the NASL, Carmelo’s team is the 13th club in the league. Jordanheads can watch the team play in the 2016 North American Soccer League fall season.

As for the sneaker seen here, the photo appears to have been leaked, courtesy of Instagram user @hungdoeswork. While it is possible that Carmelo Anthony got this sneaker crafted as a custom, it is also equally possible that Jordan Branded designed it specifically for him, considering that he is one of their athletes. Regardless, this Air Jordan 5 colorway features an upper dressed up predominantly in White, while the overlays covering the heel, side panels and toe sport an Orange hue. The midsole’s shark teeth are also Orange-colored, while the tongue also features Puerto Rico FC’s logo. The sneaker is also equipped with an icy translucent blue outsole and teal laces.

Perhaps the Jumpman might decide to mass produce and drop this sneaker in the near future.
