The PSNY x Air Jordan 12 was among Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan releases for the 2015 Holiday Season. The time for its retail debut arrived after the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” had hit the shelves that very year. Many sneakerheads had been to cop a pair of the collaborative sneaker and they had to spend $300 in order to add it to their collections when it became available on December 12th, 2015. However, not everyone was fortunate enough to get their hands on this sneaker. For those who were not, perhaps they got lucky this time, considering that the PSNY x AJ 12 recently got restocked.
Considering that the NBA All-Star Weekend has begun, so it should be obvious that Jordan Brand has plans to drop a number of special Air Jordan releases 2017. However, it is unlikely that sneakerheads were expecting that the PSNY x AJ 12 would make a comeback. Jordan Brand and Public School New York were involved in a brand new apparel collaboration at PSNY’s pop-up shop set up at 330 Hudson Street in New York. That is where limited quantities of the monochromatic, charcoal-colored, premium Air Jordan 12 iteration retailed once again for $300. However, another unexpected PSNY x AJ 12 rendition was spotted there as well.
Sneakerheads probably remember the Air Jordan 4 Premium “Wheat” that retailed at select boutiques and retailers back in October 2016 at a whopping price of $400. It seems that the AIr Jordan 12 has received the same treatment too, as a part of a new collaboration between Jordan Brand and Public School New York. This tonal Air Jordan 12 iteration, which is dressed up entirely in the “Wheat” hue, was also seen at the Hudson Street pop-up shop alongside the returning PSNY x AJ 12 from two years ago.
This Air Jordan 12 “Wheat” might be drawing inspiration from the fact that New Yorkers happen to share a fondness for workboots. Regardless, this PSNY x Air Jordan 12 “Wheat” is likely not an exclusive and will hopefully join the Jordan releases 2017 scheduled for later this year.
