Not too long ago, back in early August, Jordan Brand unveiled the two Kubo x Air Jordan 15 colorways. Soon after, it was also revealed that bidding via eBay auctions would be the only way for sneakerheads to cop a pair of both or either iterations. The eBay auctions included a total of 220 pairs and all proceeds from the pairs auctioned off went to the Just Keep Livin Foundation. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and inspired by Kubo and the Two Strings, the sneakers were different from typical Air Jordan 15 releases. In 2017 though, the Air Jordan 15 will be returning in its “Stealth” colorway.
The Air Jordan 15 has not arrived at retailers in quite a long time. Back in 2000, an issue of Eastbay’s mail-order catalog had featured several colorways of the Air Jordan 15. These had included a White/Black, White/Blue, White/Green and a White/Red one. Of course, there have also been Air Jordan 15 releases that do not exactly count. Back in August 2014, the Air Jordan 15 had received the Future Flight Remix treatment, getting combined with the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 22. Two Air Jordan 15Lab12 colorways had also hit the shelves last year. However, now the Air Jordan 15 is returning in its original form.
It seems that a new photo of the Air Jordan 15 “Stealth” has popped up and apparently provides a more detailed look of the right shoe. It had been back in March of this year, when rumors began circulating that this sneaker would be one of upcoming Jordan releases 2017. Moreover, the returning Air Jordan 15 “Stealth” will be somewhat of a remastered version, looking precisely like the original. Hence, its rubber heels, seemingly woven panels and strange tongues will all be dressed up in ominous Black, while Grey-colored accents will be visible throughout, including over the midsoles.
The comeback of the Air Jordan 15 “Stealth” is pretty much confirmed, even though it has not been announced when exactly it will hit the shelves next year. However, there is still plenty of time and this much is certain that it will indeed arrive at retailers once again in 2017.
