Since the NBA All-Star Weekend 2017 already begun in New Orleans on February 17th, Jordan Brand opened a pop-up shop in the city in order to commemorate the three-day weekend. Sneakerheads who happened to be present in New Orleans between February 17th and 19th had the opportunity to cop some of the highly anticipated, latest Jordan releases 2017. The iridescent “All-Star” colorways of the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 31 were available at Jordan Brand’s exclusive pop-up shop on 221 Chartres St. They even brought back limited quantities of some very highly coveted and iconic Air Jordan iterations from years ago.
Inside the pop-up shop, on the left side was the retail check-out, behind which was a customization station. On its right was a wall with a display that was showcasing all the sneakers that were available for sneakers to cop on each day. Events such as the opening of this pop-up shop are also an opportunity for Jordan Brand to exhibit some of their greatest and most iconic sneaker creations from the past. Hence, the walls also had cases also featured Metallic Gold-covered pairs of some of Michael Jordan’s most popular models, namely the Air Jordan 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17 and the Air Jordan 18.
In addition, limited pairs of an Air Jordan 31 “Gold” has also been made available on the final day that the pop-up shop will be open. As mentioned, all three of the Air Jordan “All-Star” sneakers were also displayed there and were among the kicks that Jordan Brand dropped during the three-day NBA All-Star Weekend 2017. Alongside these sneakers, apparel and clothing items were also on display. Even classic photos of and sneakers that Michael Jordan wore back in the days could be viewed there. Visitors were also offered unique designs for T-shirt customization, which involved the use of markers that were available on a table.
