The Air Jordan 13 made its first appearance back in 1998, not on an NBA court but in Spike Lee’s sports drama film, He Got Game. That debut colorway of the model was nicknamed “He Got Game” after the film. This year marks the film’s 20th Anniversary of the film, so it makes sense that Jordan Brand decided to bring the colorway back as a part of their Fall lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018. Of course, it is not the only Air Jordan 13 colorway that is a part of the lineup. Also included is a seemingly premium Air Jordan 13 iteration that was seen back in May.
Back in May, the Air Jordan 13 iteration based on Tinker Hatfield’s original sketch of the model was finally unveiled. Judging from the date on the drawing, Tinker apparently drew that sketch back in August 22nd, 1996. This “Tinker” variation of the Air Jordan 13 has a relatively low-top silhouette and mid-foot straps, but the dimples on the uppers and the outsoles inspired by a black panther’s paws are still intact. In addition to this, a “Back To School” colorway that is a part of Jordan Brand’s “Graduation” Pack will also join their Fall lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018.
The Air Jordan 13 colorway featured here was first spotted back in the beginning of May when it was on display at the Nike’s New York headquarters. It apparently happens to be a women’s exclusive iteration. As can be seen in these latest photos, the dimpled nylon uppers of this iteration are predominantly clean White. Its premium aesthetic comes from the Grey-colored faux crocskin mudguards that it is equipped with. A similar Grey hue also appears over the midsoles and outsoles, while its signature holographic branding looks particularly striking. Keep checking back to SneakerExclusive to find out when this crocskin, women’s Air Jordan 13 will make its retail debut.
