The Upcoming OFF-White x Air Jordan 1 Has Been Unveiled In More Detail

Between January and March, sneakerheads may have likely gotten multiple glimpses of the Air Force 1 that Nike and Virgin Abloh’s OFF-WHITE collaboratively designed. On March 27th, 2017, Virgil Abloh himself shared a photo of the highly anticipated sneaker on his Instagram account, along with the caption “temporary.” The OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 was creating the same amount of buzz within the sneaker community as the VLONE x Nike Air Force 1, which recently arrived at pop-up stores all over the globe. However, it is unlikely that anyone was expecting a collaboration between Jordan Brand and OFF-WHITE involving the Air Jordan 1.

It was kind of surprising that Virgil Abloh chose Air Max Day to post a photo of the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1. However, there has not been any news yet about when exactly the sneaker will be making its retail debut. The iteration makes the Air Force 1 look like a bold and completely different silhouette. A Metallic Silver-colored Nike “Swoosh” is stitched onto each side and its tongues feature “Nike Air” branding. Overall, the OFF-WHITE x Air Force 1 is a sleek, nearly all-Black sneaker that has the words “AIR” printed in quotations over the midsoles and the word “SHOELACE” also printed in quotations over the laces.

Virgil Abloh is known for being quite avant-garde with his designs, which really does show when looking at these latest photos of the Air Jordan 1 that were recently published on For sneakerheads who feel confused by the printed words like “AIR” in quotations, OFF-White is currently following an “Everything In Quotes” motif. Overall, this Air Jordan 1 is sporting a Chicago Bulls-inspired Red and White color scheme. However, this bold-looking iteration also seems to feature an almost deconstructed look, which grants it high-fashion aesthetics. For instance, features oversized Nike “Swoosh” logos along with contrasting Blue- and Orange-colored stitching.

As mentioned, there has been no news of when the OFF-White x Air Force 1 will be making its retail debut, but perhaps it may accompany this OFF-White x Air Jordan 1. In fact, an official release date for the latter has also not been announced yet, and there are rumors that an OFF-White x Air Jordan 4 might also be in the works.
