By the end of July, one of the sneakers that are going to be a part of Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan releases 2018 for the Holiday Season was unveiled. Dubbed “Sports Illustrated,” this Air Jordan 1 colorway is inspired by and a reference to Michael Jordan’s first appearance on the cover of the December 10, 1984 issue of Sports Illustrated. This iteration is also being referred to as “A Star Is Born,” since this phrase appeared on the magazine and perfectly described the rookie Michael Jordan. As of now, several other Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG colorways have surfaced and will arrive at retailers in the coming months.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Olive Canvas”
Back in January, Jordan Brand released an Air Jordan 1 “Nike Air” Pack, which included rather unique, tonal colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. The unique thing about those iterations was that text from a Nike copyright disclaimer was appeared on the inner side panels, while the word “NIKE” could be spotted over the outer ones, beneath the “Swoosh” logo. This pack included “Guava Ice,” “Olive Canvas” and “Vintage Coral” colorways, each of which was exclusive to a specific region of the world. In this case, the “Olive Canvas” is making its retail debut on Asia Pacific/Latin America and Greater China at a price of $160.
Two Other Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Colorways
Last month, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 1 “Rookie Of The Year.” It is inspired by the shirt Michael Jordan during his acceptance speech upon receiving the Rookie Of The Year award back on April 30th, 1985. It turns out that professional BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester is collaboration with Jordan Brand on a brand new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG colorway that appears to be dressed up in a combination of Reflect Silver, Sail, Varsity Red and White. The photo above is actually a Photoshop rendering that was shared on Instagram by @py_rates, but this is what this iteration is supposedly going to look like.
The Release Dates

Last but not least, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Sports Illustrated” will make its retail debut during the Holiday Season this year at a price of $160.
