It seems that a few collegiate football athletes will be preparing for the NFL draft instead of participating in the Orange Bowl games, representing their respective universities. Fortunately for the University of Michigan Wolverines, who are preparing for their Orange Bowl game that takes place on December 30th, none of them are skipping the bowl. For the members of the Michigan Wolverines, it is all about the team and it all comes down to playing for the team. To top it off, they are representing Jordan Brand too. For that very reason, every member of the Wolverines roster has received an Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” PE pair.
Some of the Wolverines’ potential first-round picks include Jabrill Peppers and Jourdan Lewis, while they also have high-round prospects like Jake Butt and Taco Charlton. The team is currently being coached by former quarterback Jim Harbaugh. The Orange Bowl American college football bowl game is held annually held at Miami Gardens, Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium. Back in 2013, the Florida State Seminoles defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies to win the ACC championship. Last year’s winners were the Clemson Tigers football team and before them it were the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. On December 30th, the Michigan Wolverines will be facing the Florida State Seminoles in the Orange Bowl.
The University of Michigan Wolverines are the first college football team to be wearing uniforms that feature “Jumpman” branding. Of course, being a part of the Jordan Brand family has its advantages and perks. Particularly, those include receiving player exclusive sneakers every now and then. This year, the University of Michigan Wolverines have even made quite an impact in the NCAA as well. The Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” PE sneakers all feature Navy-colored uppers with Varsity Maize-colored detailing throughout. Both the heels and the tongues also sport Michigan’s “M” logo, while a Yellow-colored shark teeth pattern can be spotted on each midsole, and this sneaker is also equipped with icy translucent outsoles.
Sneakerheads will be able to watch the University of Michigan Wolverines roster laced up in the PE pairs during the Orange Bowl. However, the Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” PE will obviously not be joining 2016’s general Jordan releases.
