As you likely know by now, this year marked the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3. Hence, this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018 have included a number of special colorways of the model. For instance, the Air Jordan 3 JTH “Bio Beige” made its retail debut near the end of last month on August 28th at a price of $200. Two different Air Jordan 3 iterations are also a part of the Vogue x Jordan Brand Pack revolving around Anna Wintour. Since 2018 is still underway, two more Air Jordan 3 releases are on their way, one a returning original colorway and the other a brand new one.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Mocha”
It was back in 2001 when Jordan Brand originally released the Air Jordan 3 “Mocha.” It actually gained tremendous popularity long after its initial release. Its original retail price was merely $100 at the time, but it went on to be resold years later for four times as much. Overall, the “Mocha” color scheme was subtle yet undeniably eye-catching. Like the original, this upcoming version of the “Mocha” will have plain White tumbled leather uppers, with a Brown hue appearing over the branding, elephant print overlays, outsoles and the topmost lace eyelets. While it will join upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018, specific release details have yet to be revealed.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Chlorophyll”
The colorway you see above is the brand new one and its nickname is a reference to the Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” that it seems to draw inspiration from. Coincidentally, the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Trainer 1 are one of the two models that were blended together when designing the Jordan Legacy 312. Like the Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll,” this Air Jordan 3 iteration is also dressed up in a combination of Black, Green, Grey and White. Like the “Mocha,” a release date for this Air Jordan 3 colorway has not been revealed yet, so keep checking back to SneakersDog for more updates.
