Two Public School x Air Jordan 10 Pairs Debuted At PSNY’s Runway Show

Public School NY’s Fall/Winter runway show during this year’s NYFW took place yesterday on February 16th. Although most 23isBack readers had probably not attended, they are likely aware that the highly anticipated Air Jordan 10 pair that was designed in collaboration with Jordan Brand was supposed to be unveiled at the event. Surprisingly, not one but two iterations of this sneaker collaboration were spotted at the runway, but it is not certain if either one of them will hit the shelves on one of the 2015 Jordan release dates.

Not so long ago, a post was made on 23 is Back regarding the teaser image of the Public School x Air Jordan 10 that PSNY had posted on their Instagram account. As seen in the photo, the first mostly black Air Jordan 10 pair that was spotted during the runway show features somewhat of a “Bred” color scheme because of the contrasting traces of red. The pair even borrows a signature element from the Air Jordan IV, namely the Cement print on its midsole.

As for the other PSNY x Air Jordan 10 pair that unexpectedly surfaced, it sports a mostly red upper with hints of black for contrast. Public School NY even went ahead and designed the insoles for both sneakers to look like the outsole that Tinker Hatfield had originally created. Instead of Michael Jordan’s achievements, the insoles provide an overview of everything significant that PSNY has achieved to date.
