Two New Air Jordan 9 Low Colorways Could Be Among The 2016 Releases

By now, every sneakerhead who visits this blog is likely aware that several classic Air Jordan colorways are being brought back next year. In fact, many Air Jordan silhouettes that have been on somewhat of a hiatus and did not even show up at retailers this year are also making a come back in 2016. Well, the latest Jordan releases 2016 news is that Jordan Brand has also added some new colorways of the Air Jordan 9 Low to the ever-growing list of sneakers they intend to drop next year.

derek-anderson-air-jordan-9-low-2016Before discussing these upcoming Air Jordan 9 Low colorways, Jordanheads may want to take a trip down memory lane. Jordan Brand had once whipped up an Air Jordan 9 Low PE for Derek Anderson back when he was the guard for the San Antonio Spurs. Of course, it was a one-of-one pair that Jordan Brand had created exclusively for Derek and so sneakerheads could only dream of adding the rare sneaker to their collection. That PE rendition of the Air Jordan 9 had a leather and patent leather upper that was entirely dressed up in ominous black. The only hint of contrast visible on the sneaker was in the form of metallic silver lace loops and the white accents that could be spotted on the brand. Each heel also sported the embroidered “DA 1” logo.

Surprisingly, one of the upcoming Air Jordan 9 Low colorways that will make its retail debut next year resembles Derek Anderson’s all-black PE. The other colorway appears to be Pantone-inspired since it is dressed up in a Blue and White color combination. This color scheme may remind Jordanheads of the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Pantone.”
