As the rumors about Drake switching over to adidas continue to spread, Travis Scott seems to be gradually becoming Jordan Brand’s leading collaborator from the world of hip hop. Earlier this month, Nike finally released official photos of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack.” These photos reveal that its heels feature both the “Jumpman” and “Cactus Jack” logos. Much like Drake, Travis seems to be growing fond of the Air Jordan 4, considering that he was recently spotted laced up in two different, never-before-seen colorways of the model. There is a possibility that these two colorways may end up joining this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018.
As you may or may not be aware, Travis Scott’s third studio album titled “AstroWorld” is scheduled to be released this year. The album’s name is inspired the abandoned AstroWorld amusement park in Texas. Travis used to visit the park during his childhood and the above photo was taken during his most recent visit, in which he stands beside the park’s signboard while laced up in an Air Jordan 4 pair. Back in February, Kylie Jenner had also worn this same Black and Grey color after their daughter Stormi was born. The earlier photo also revealed Red-colored “Nike Air” branding on its heels.
Another thing you may not know is the fact that the “Cactus Jack” iteration is likely inspired by the Tennessee Titans football team, which was formerly known as the Houston Oilers. During a recent Houston Rockets game, Travis Scott was present courtside, rocking another Air Jordan 4 colorway. Also partially seen in another photo that he shared on his official Instagram account (), the sneaker appears to have nubuck uppers dressed up almost entirely in a Purple hue, while Black- and White-colored detailing can be spotted throughout. Further details are not clearly visible, even if the photo is zoomed in, so keep checking back until more photos potentially surface.
Based on official information, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack” is scheduled to make its retail debut on June 23rd, 2018 and will be available at a slightly whopping price of $225. As for these other two unreleased colorways, it is uncertain if they will be among this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018 or will ever hit the shelves.
