Michael Jordan has had a tremendously prosperous career and his innumerable triumphs on the court have served as a source of inspiration for numerous Air Jordan iterations. For instance, one such iteration is the “Cavs” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 that Jordan Brand dropped back in 2012. Now, apparently a brand new Air Jordan 4 GS colorway is on its way. Apparently, this Jordan release 2016 of the GS exclusive Air Jordan 4 will mark the arrival of the sneaker in a color scheme that will likely remind Jordanheads of New York. By now, all the grownup collectors are probably wishing that they could also lace up in this sneaker.
Jordanheads who have passingly heard of and/or seen the Air Jordan 4 “Cavs” probably believe that Jordan Brand drew inspiration from the Cleveland Cavaliers for this colorway. While that this partly true, the team itself is not the reason this iteration was created. Back in 1989, Michael Jordan had scored a basket over Craig Ehlo’s head, who was the Shooting guard of the Cavaliers at the time, which allowed the Chicago Bulls to win that year’s NBA Playoffs. It was this Michael Jordan accomplishment that inspired the creation of the Air Jordan 4 “Cavs,” which was released by Jordan Brand back in May 2012.
The color combination of blue and orange that was last featured on the Air Jordan 4 “Cavs” is apparently returning with a twist on this brand new Air Jordan 4 GS that Jordan Brand will drop next year. This kids sneaker comes with an upper made up of leather and suede, which is dressed up in crisp white. Blue and grey colored detailing also make an appearance all over the sneaker, while Jordan Jumpman that the tongue sports is covered in salmon orange.
Adult Jordanheads are probably wishing this sneaker would hit the shelves in sizes appropriate for them. However, the Jordan release 2016 of this Air Jordan 4 colorway is going to take place exclusively in GS sizes.
