This Upcoming Jordan Ultra.Fly Mimics The Air Jordan 11’s “Space Jam” Color Scheme

The Super.Fly signature model was introduced when Blake Griffin, the power forward of the Los Angeles Lakers, became a Jordan Brand-sponsored athlete. During the 2015–16 NBA season, Blake had rocked the Super.Fly 4 and near the end of last month, Jordan Brand had the latest installment in the series, the Super.Fly 5. Some sneakerheads are probably mistaken that the Jordan Ultra.Fly is also associated with Blake Griffin, but that is not the case. The Ultra.Fly arrived at retailers back in April and is inspired by Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname. Apparently, the Super.Fly will be the second Space Jam-themed to join 2016’s Air Jordan releases.

Jordan Ultra.Fly “Space Jam”-2The year 1996 had definitely taken basketball enthusiasts and fans of the Looney Tunes by storm when Space Jam was released, starring Michael Jordan and several other retired professional basketball players. It turns out that Jordan Brand is not alone in celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the animated-live-action comedy sports cult classic. It turns out that Space Jam will be screened at the Brooklyn Museum, 1st Floor of the Steinberg Family Sculpture Garden, 8:00 p.m. on August 4th. While Holiday 2016’s Air Jordan releases include the highly anticipated arrival of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” the Ultra.Fly has also received the Space Jam treatment.

The shape of the model aside, the color scheme of this Ultra.Fly does indeed appear to be mimicking that of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” almost exactly. As such, the Kurim material overlaying the uppers is dressed up in ominous Black, while the mesh underlay beneath it seems to be covered in Concord. The Concord hue also appears over the larger Jumpman logo on the sides and the smaller one featured on each tongue. Finally, this sneaker is also equipped with clean White midsoles and icy translucent outsoles.

Jordan Ultra.Fly “Space Jam”-3While most sneakerheads would surely not want to miss grabbing a pair of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” this colorway of Jordan Brand’s latest basketball silhouette is also worth copping. However, so far there has been no confirmation as to when this Jordan Ultra.Fly “Space Jam” is going to hit the shelves, so keep checking back.
