With 2015 almost halfway through, Jordanheads have likely realized by now that Jordan Brand has no intention of whipping up brand new colorways for the hybrid silhouettes from their Jordan Lab Series. The Jordan 11Lab4 “Black” recently made its retail debut on April 25th and retailed for $250. However, rumors that Jordan Brand was bringing back the Jordan 3Lab4 on one of the Jordan release dates 2015 started circulating way before when lh77crew posted photos of the sneaker on his Instagram account.
Concepts behind Jordan Brand’s Lab sneakers have always varied. The 5Lab3 was entirely constructed from 3M reflective material, while the 4Lab1 sported an extremely futuristic appearance. The latest installment from the Lab Series combines the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 4, which are which are one of the most coveted and iconic Jordan Brand signature sneaker models. In fact, they are probably a personal favorite of many Jordanheads, and now they have the chance to cop a hybrid sneaker that combines prominent elements from both.
The all-Black sleek Air Jordan 3Lab4 utilizes the entire Air Jordan 4 silhouette as its base, which consists of natural and synthetic leather. Elements borrowed from the Air Jordan 3 are featured on this sneaker in the form of subtle Cement/Elephant Print covered overlays that can be spotted around the heel and toebox. This sinister-looking colorway also gets a dash of color from the Infrared that appears on the unique trademark lacing component that belongs to the Air Jordan 4. Last but not least, an Air Bubble unit is also present in the heel.
It is quite a coincident that the previous installment from Jordan Brand’s Lab Series, i.e. the 11Lab4, was also all-Black. That does not mean that Jordanheads will not want to grab a pair of the 3Lab4, especially considering that it is a combination of two of the most popular Air Jordan models. Despite the lack of an announcement of potential Jordan release dates 2015, sneakerheads can expect the Air Jordan 3Lab4 to hit the shelves in the near future.
