The momentum with which Carmelo Anthony kicked off his 2015-16 campaign is gradually coming to a rest. Apparently, Carmelo Anthony will not be participating in this year’s playoff games much like last year, but despite that, Carmelo and the New York Knicks still have a bright future ahead of them. Moreover, this has not stopped Jordan Brand from whipping up a brand new colorway of his latest signature sneaker model, the Jordan Melo M12. Indeed, the Jumpman are getting ready to drop Jordan Melo M12 in a colorway that sneakerheads will find all too familiar because it is dubbed “Jade.”
Carmelo Anthony may not be a part of this year’s playoffs, but he has taken it upon himself to mentor Kristaps Porzingis, who is the rook center and power forward of the New York Knicks. Carmelo also recently stated that he was hoping to win an NBA Championship on behalf of the Knicks. After all, it was back in the late 1970s when the team had last scored an NBA Championship victory, courtesy of Phil Jackson who is currently the president of the team. Now the power and small forward of the Knicks can be rest assured that his signature sneaker line is going strong.
This is not the first time that Jordan Brand have dressed up a Melo silhouette in the Tiffany-like “Jade” color scheme, rather they Melo M7 had once arrived in a “Jade” colorway in the past. The mesh base of the upcoming Melo 11 is plain white, but receives gradient detailing in the form of a black-colored medial panel and a Hyper Jade-colored heel counter. The Hyper Jade hue also makes an appearance on the midsoles, each also featuring a chrome-like metallic silver-colored Jumpman logo.
Although a month remains until Carmelo Anthony officially heads off on his summer vacation, but this upcoming iteration of his latest signature model will hopefully before that happens. However, Jordan Brand has not yet announced a release date when the Jordan Melo M12 “Jade” will make its retail debut.
