Apparently, Jordan Brand may have developed a bit of a fondness incorporating wool into brand new iterations of their most popular sneaker models. Along making an announcement in February of this year about the return of the Air Jordan 3 OG ’88 “True Blue,” Jordan Brand also revealed that 2016’s Cyber Monday release would be a black and white, wool-clad Air Jordan 3. The very next month, news emerged that the Air Jordan 12 would also be receiving a woolen makeover at some point this year. While the sneaker’s release date had been somewhere confirmed last month in May, now an actual photo has also surfaced.
If Jordan Brand has some kind of an Air Jordan Retro “Wool” Pack in the works, then these “Wool” renditions of the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 12 will obviously be a part of it. The only difference is that no one has a clue what the Air Jordan 3 is going to look like. Reportedly, the uppers of the sneaker will feature a woolen construction and will be topped with a color scheme consisting of Dark Grey and Sail. Fortunately, courtesy of a photo shared by Instagram user @soleknights, Jordanheads can now get their first look at the Air Jordan 12 “Wool.”
From the looks of it, the Air Jordan 12 “Wool” appears to be an all-Black sneaker. The uppers of this sneaker appear to be predominantly made up of wool, but similarly blacked out tumbled leather overlays can also be spotted. Similarly, the heel tags, inner linings, laces and soles are also covered in ominous Black. Last but not least, this sneaker is also equipped Metallic Silver eyelets.
Despite the lack of more official photos, it was already confirmed back in March that this sneaker would be one of October 2016’s Air Jordan releases. In fact, it has even been revealed that each pair of the Air Jordan 12 “Wool” will cost $200 when this sneaker makes its retail debut on October 1st.
