At least from a distance, some Jordanheads might actually mistake the Air Jordan 10 seen here as the “Double Nickel” colorway of the model. Some of them are probably even assuming that Jordan Brand has perhaps made a new addition to the 2016 Air Jordan 10 City Pack. However, neither of those is true actually. This is definitely not the “Double Nickel” rather it is an entirely brand new and GS exclusive iteration of the Air Jordan 10. Moreover, it is not a part of this year’s City Pack; rather this upcoming Air Jordan 10 rendition has been dubbed “Vivid Pink.”
It is understandable why this Air Jordan 10 colorway might get mistaken for the “Double Nickel.” With the exception of the stitched “45” logo, the accent hue of this iteration might actually appear red from afar, which is not the case and becomes obvious upon closer inspection. Furthermore, this Air Jordan 10 is not inspired by or representing a particular city, and it also happens to be a GS sized version, so this is not one of the Air Jordan 10 editions that the 2016 City Pack includes. However, it looks quite dope for a standalone Air Jordan 10, especially for small footed Jordanheads.
As mentioned, the color blocking featured on this sneaker somewhat resembles that of the Air Jordan 10 “Double Nickel.” Thus, a majority of the overlayed leather premium tumbled uppers appear to be clean and plain, but they are actually dressed up in pure platinum. The eye stays and the area surrounding them, the laces, outsoles and the tongues are all covered in black. The accent hue of this sneaker, which is vivid pink, makes an appearance on both the inner linings and the outsoles.
A release date has apparently been reported for this sneaker and apparently it will not be the only Air Jordan 10 arriving on that day. Alongside the Air Jordan 10 “Los Angeles” from the 2016 City Pack and an Air Jordan 10 GG/GS “Pure Platinum,” this Air Jordan 10 GG/GS “Vivid Pink” will hit the shelves on May 14th and retail at a price of $140.
