Apparently, being one of the best high-school talents in the sport of basketball comes with its own individual advantages. These include being invited to take part in the 15th annual Jordan Brand Classic event and receiving the Player Exclusive Air Jordan sneakers that have specifically been designed for those performing in the event. Indeed, Jordan Brand put together an entire collection for the future stars of professional basketball who participated in the Jordan Brand Classic 2016 that was held on April 15th at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn. The Air Jordan 9 Low iteration seen here is among the sneakers that are a part of the collection.
The Air Jordan 9 Low that is featured here was gifted to all of male and female high-school basketball athletes who participated in the Jordan Brand Classic 2016. Joining it as a part of the collection are several other sneakers, such as two Air Jordan 30 colorways, two Jordan Ultra.Fly colorways and even a Jordan Flight Runner ST. Semaj Danley II of the Indiana Elite was also one of the participants who received a pair of the Air Jordan 9 Low from the collection and he even shared a close-up photo of it on his Instagram account @semajic, the one featured above.
The Air Jordan 9 Low PE “Jordan Brand Classic” is arguably the simplest of all the sneakers that are a part of the collection. Its leather uppers are entirely plain white, but the heels and mudguards feature textured snakeskin detailing, which contribute to the premium aesthetic that this sneaker boasts. Some hits of color can be spotted in the form of the black accents that appear over the inner linings, laces and the tongues, while outsoles are covered in a unique marbled black and grey print.
So far, it does not seem like the Jumpan have any plans of dropping any of the sneakers from their Jordan Brand Classic 2016 Collection. Moreover, even though participants of the event are the only ones who received the Air Jordan 9 Low as a gift, it is being rumored that a pair or more might somehow surface on eBay.
