Winter is no longer just on the horizon, it is almost here, but that does not mean that the Air Jordan Retro models Jordanheads love so much are going to end up taking a backseat to all the winter-ready sneakerboots. Just back in October, a weather resistant version of the Air Jordan 1 hit the shelves, complete with synthetic leather construction, a rubberized toebox, and ankle support covered in wool. Now it seems that sneakerheads should get ready for another Air Jordan 1 Mid iteration with a heavier and warmer fit, which will come in a Black and Dark Grey color combo.
The Air Jordan 1, regardless of what form it is in, is known for being effortlessly graceful and simple, which is something that OG sneakerheads tend to be fans of. Despite the fact that the model was introduced three decades ago, new renditions of the silhouette are often a must-cop and still turn out to be an instant hit. It is true that mid-cut version of the silhouette is not as popular among OG fans and for their 30th Anniversary, Jordan Brand has been more focused on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, but that does not mean that the Air Jordan 1 Mid is completely out of the picture.
This time, the equally iconic Air Jordan 1 Mid comes with an upper that is completely dressed up in black, while its inner lining and outsole are covered in the secondary Dark Grey hue. The sneaker is also equipped with a tonal Jordan Jumpman and Wings logo that are barely visible since they blend in with the sneaker’s ominous upper. Since the Jordan release 2015 of this sneaker has already taken place, Jordanheads can go ahead and cop it. Much like the winterized iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Mid that arrived at retailers before this one, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black/Dark Grey” is also up for grabs from Sneaker Politics and other select retailers.
