The NBA All-Star Weekend is just around the corner and young Jordanheads will not be the only ones who will have the opportunity to grab a pair of a special Air Jordan retro. Much like other footwear brands, it is not too surprising that Jordan Brand also intends to drop a brand new sneaker for the event. In fact, it is not even very surprising that the upcoming All-Star Weekend will mark the Jordan releases a special Air Jordan 1 High colorway. This first batch of photos of this new Air Jordan 1 High “All-Star” iteration comes from Oregon Sole’s Instagram account.
Sneakerheads who had no clue that Jordan Brand had been working on this sneaker until now are probably a bit surprised. Although, it would actually be more peculiar and surprising if Jordan Brand had not whipped up a new rendition of the Air Jordan for and inspired by the All-Star Weekend. Those who were among the latter are probably feeling more content now that they have taken a glance at the Air Jordan 1 High “All-Star,” especially considering that merely a week remains for the All-Star Weekend to commence.
As far as the color scheme of this Air Jordan 1 High “All-Star” rendition is concerned, it is a relatively subtle sneaker. The leather upper appears to be predominantly dressed up in Black, while all the branding that is featured on this sneaker is covered in Metallic Silver. Since it is a special version, this sneaker is also equipped with distinct features. The heel and side panels have a cross pattern wrapped around them. The colar also sports an interesting print that refers to some of Michael Jordan’s most memorable NBA accomplishments. An icy translucent outsole and a tonal inner lining an laces add the finishing touch
It would be more apt consider this Air Jordan 1 High an All-Star Weekend release rather than a Valentine’s Day release. However, that does not change the fact that this sneaker will be retailing on February 14th at a price of $140.
