While the arrival of Air Jordan Retro iteration is known to take the sneaker community by storm, two particular upcoming retro colorways have really created quite the hype ever since they were unveiled. The two Retro sneakers being referred here are the Air Jordan 7 “Nothing But Net” and the Air Jordan 8 “Three Peat.” Both these sneakers sport vivid colors and graphics borrowed from a sweater that Michael Jordan had been wearing back when he appeared in a McDonald’s commercial. This latest Eclipse Jordan release date will mark the retail debut of an iteration that has received a similar treatment.
It seems that the sweater that Michael Jordan was clad in when joined Larry Bird in an old-school McDonald’s commercial is serving as a rich source of inspiration for Air Jordan Retro renditions. However, this latest Air Jordan Eclipse colorway that is also inspired by the notable sweater is without a doubt the best iteration of Jordan Brand’s lifestyle model to have hit the shelves until now. In fact, unlike the Air Jordan 7 and Air Jordan 8 mentioned above, Jordan Brand has taken the inspiration to a whole new level by covering this Eclipse rendition takes the inspiration to a whole new level by featuring the sweater-inspired colors and pattern more predominantly.
The sleek mesh base of this Air Jordan Eclipse colorway is primarily dressed up in ominous black, which makes this sneaker ideal for these colder seasons. The inspiration of MJ’s illustrious sweater is evident from the zigzag pattern filled with multiple vibrant hues, which covers the neoprene toebox and extends towards the tongue. As far as branding goes, the rear end of this sneaker sports a red Jordan Jumpman and Air logo. Much like previous drops, the latest Jordan release 2015 of this Air Jordan Eclipse “Sweater” has also taken rather unexpectedly and the sneaker is already available at select retailers like Shoe Palace for a price of $110.
