This Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black/Gold” Has Hit The Shelves In Family Sizes

Back in October 2014, the Internet had gone crazy when The Shoe Game had revealed photos of an Air Jordan 1 High dressed up in a black and gold color scheme, with its tongues featuring Carmelo Anthony’s logo. Instagram user @barneywang was the one who had initially shared the photos and according to him, it was a Look-See sample that would likely not hit the shelves. Fortunately, the Air Jordan 1 High “Melo” had arrived at retailers on Dec 20th. However, there are probably many Jordanheads who had missed out and so the Air Jordan 1 Mid featured here could serve as a good substitute.

It was soon after that it was revealed that were planning to drop a brand new Air Jordan 1 High colorway that would also have Carmelo’s name attached to it. Near the end of the year, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Melo” finally hit the shelves in the form of a black and gold sneaker with a premium aesthetic. The Air Jordan 1 Mid seen here may not resemble that “Melo” iteration, but it is also dressed up in black and gold.

The leather uppers of this Air Jordan 1 Mid that is featured here are almost entirely dressed up in ominous black, but this is not a monochrome or tonal sneaker. Therefore, the inner linings, the Jordan Wings logos, the piping of the Nike Swooshes, and the outsoles are all covered in gold, which adds contrast and elegance to this sneaker. This sneaker is even equipped with clean white midsoles.
