It is still quite confusing and unbelievable that the Air Jordan 1.5, which recently arrived at retailers in a “Chicago” colorway, did not receive a positive reception from sneakerheads. In fact, many of them even outright hate the model from some reason, yet Jordan Brand has not given up and has decided to take another shot with the silhouette. The latest Jordan release dates 2015 will mark the retail debut a new “Soar” colorway of the 1.5 silhouette, which apparently takes inspiration from the Air Jordan 1 “Fragment”.
Even though over two months have passed since Jordan Brand dropped the Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago,” pairs of the colorway are still lying on the shelves of retail stores. One reason sneakerheads often tend to line up to grab an Air Jordan retro is because it was actually worn by Michael Jordan. Some are even more specific and eager only to cop the specific colorways that MJ himself sported. Well, the reason it is so perplexing that the Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago” did not fly off shelves is because Michael Jordan did indeed lace up in this particular colorway of the model. In fact, Jordan Brand had exclusively created the sneaker for Michael Jordan.
Perhaps the arrival of this new colorway of the Air Jordan 1.5 at retailers will prove to be more fruitful. The color-blocking of this latest Air Jordan 1.5 iteration looks very similar to that of the Air Jordan 1 “Fragments.” Hence, the color scheme of the sneaker is made up of black, soar blue and white. Of course, the 1.5 refers to the fact that it is equipped with the Air Jordan 2 midsole, which is covered in white and has a soar blue-colored outsole resting beneath it. Other signature traits include the Nike Air brand visible on the tongue, while the Air Jordan on the ankle and the wings has been replaced with Nike.
Overall, the Air Jordan 1.5 is a decent model and hopefully sneakerheads will show more appreciation for this upcoming colorway. A date for the Jordan release 2015 of the Air Jordan 1.5 “Soar” has been confirmed, so it will be up for grabs at a price of $150 on October 17th.
