Just one before Kobe Bryant his final NBA All-Star game prior to his retirement, Michael Jordan decided to send the Black Mamba off into the sunset with two different complete collections of Air Jordan sneakers. A couple of days ago, Kobe Bryant was present in Toronto at a Jordan Brand event where his gift of an all-Black and an all-White complete set of Air Jordan pairs from the Air Jordan 1 to Air Jordan 30. While readers are likely not expecting a Jordan release date of the sneakers from these sets, they have also probably not gotten a glimpse of the Air Jordan 30 from each collection.
When referring to these two collections as complete sets, it means that they collectively contain a total of 60 sneakers, 30 all-Black ones and 30 all-White ones. Considering that the Black Mamba is signed with Nike, as far as his signature Kobe sneaker models are concerned, this shows how much Jordan Brand and Michael Jordan himself respect the shooting guard and small forward Los Angeles Lakers. Then again, back when Kobe had not yet signed with any footwear brand, he used to rock Player Exclusive iterations of Air Jordan sneakers, which are also included in the two sets.
As a charitable and noble gesture, Kobe Bryant auctioned off his all-Black collection of Air Jordan sneakers, which resulted in $240,100 going to the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. By now, Jordanheads may have already seen nearly all of the sneakers from the two collections, but now even the all-Black and the all-White Air Jordan 30 from each complete set have also been unveiled.
Even though the two sets were a gift from Jordan Brand and the Jumpman likely have no plans for the Jordan release 2016 of any of the sneakers, Jordanheads are probably still keeping their hopes high. With Kobe Bryant’s retirement imminent, many sneakerheads are perhaps even wondering whether or not his signature sneaker line with Nike will continue.
