These Collegiate Teams Received Jordan 2 Retro Low & Jordan 30 PE Colorways

With the NCAA College Basketball Tournament underway, it is only natural that collegiate basketball teams have been making headlines in the world of sneakers, specifically those from Jordan Brand. It was almost two months ago that Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 30 in Chicago at a live event on January 14th and nearly a month after that the thirtieth Air Jordan model debuted on February 12th. Ever since then, the silhouette has been worn by several basketball athletes, both from collegiate teams and the NBA. Over the course of the last week, Jordan Brand whipped up PE Air Jordan 30 iterations for four notable collegiate basketball teams.

5 4The California Golden Bears, Georgetown Hoyas, Marquette Golden Eagles and the UNC Tar Heels are the four collegiate basketball teams that received PE versions of both the Air Jordan 30 and the Air Jordan 2 Retro Low. As can be seen above, the Air Jordan 30 PE “Golden Bears” is dressed up in a vibrant gradient consisting of the team’s signature navy and varsity maze hues. The Air Jordan 2 Low accompanying it looks quite like a “Home” rendition with a simple all-white upper, while also featuring navy and varsity maze accents.

The Air Jordan 30 PE “Hoyas” once again has a gradient aesthetic covering its upper, with the team’s signature cream, grey and navy hues throughout. The Air Jordan 2 Low has a greyish upper with cream and navy accents. A unique thing about the Air Jordan 2 iteration is that its inner lining and mudguard are both dressed up in the team’s signature print.

3 2 1The gradient upper of the Air Jordan 30 PE “Golden Eagles” features a combination of the team’s/university’s signature Marquette blue, gold and white hues. Their Air Jordan 2 Low PE rendition is much darker, with a predominantly Marquette blue upper while traces of gold and a lighter shade of blue can also be spotted throughout.

8 7Considering that Michael Jordan once played for them, it is not uncommon for the UNC Tar Heels to receive Player Exclusives from Jordan Brand. Both the Air Jordan 30 PE and the Air Jordan 2 Low PE look quite alike with their uppers sporting signature Carolina blue, grey and white hues of the team.

92 91As Jordanheads may have noticed, a feature that all eight of these Player Exclusive sneakers share in common is that they are all equipped with icy blue translucent outsoles. Moreover, the official logos of the teams can also be spotted on the tongues of their respective PEs. While sneakerheads have probably already picked their favorites, it is obvious that they will not be able to cop them, until Jordan Brand decides to drop these sneakers at some point in the future.
