Considering that Marcus Jordan is Michael Jordan’s younger son, it is obvious and not very surprising that he has a direction connection with Jordan Brand. In fact, his Air Jordan-centric store by the name of “Trophy Room” is slated to be launched in May this year, which will officially make him a Jordan Brand account holder. No wonder the Jumpman have been treating him like they do their store owners, even having provided him previews of their upcoming Holiday 2016 sneakers. Without giving away too much, Marcus Jordan recently claimed that their Holiday 2016 collection suggests that they are apparently out “lookin’ for revenge.”
With his intriguing claim, Marcus Jordan definitely succeeds in augmenting the hype surrounding the second half of 2016. Jordan Brand have already unveiled two iconic sneakers that are a part of this year’s Holiday collection, namely the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” and the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam.” Marcus also did some unveiling of his own too not so long ago. He recently posted a few photos of a sneaker on his Twitter profile of a sneaker that resembles the upcoming Air Jordan 9 Low “Black/White” that is slated to arrive at retailers later this year.
However, the footwear showcased in these photos is actually a pair of golf cleats, which is something that Jordanheads had likely not been expecting to surface. These cleats do indeed resemble the mentioned Air Jordan 9 Low iteration with a leather upper dressed up entirely in black, while the heel and mudguard appear to be featuring textured detailing. Similarly, the branding visible on the heel and tongue as well as the inner lining are all covered in red, while the signature sole unit has been replaced with cleats or studs.
The Jumpman themselves have remained silent so far as far as this pair of cleats goes. However, in light of Marcus Jordan sharing these photos, it is being rumored that these Air Jordan cleats may hit the shelves eventually.
