An Air Jordan 12 iteration, which will be among next year’s Air Jordan releases 2019, will have uppers made up of cow fur and faux snakeskin. When referring to fur, a lot of you may have been thinking about the Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Viotech” that recently made its retail debut on December 15th at a price of $160. It actually came with cowhide laces and faux fur on its tongues, which could be dethatched. This is actually not the first time that an Air Jordan release has featured fur. In fact, Jordan Brand released a similar Air Jordan 4 iteration back in 2016.
A Premium Air Jordan 4 From 2016 Featured Pony Hair On Its Uppers
The Air Jordan 4 “Pony Hair” made its retail debut on April 9th, 2016 at a whopping price of $400. The higher price tag led many to mistakenly assume that it was a part of the “Pinnacle” series, which actually was not the case, although it did feature premium materials. Its all–Black uppers were made up of a combination of tumbled and synthetic croc–skin leather. Instead of the Air Jordan 4’s signature mesh panels on the sides that provide ventilation, this iteration featured pony hair, both there and under the tongues. Adding the finishing touch, the Air Jordan 4 “Pony Hair” was also equipped with plain White soles.
The Air Jordan 6 “Cow Fur” Is Also A Premium Release
The Air Jordan 6 “Cow Fur” you see here will be one of several new colorways of the model that will be among the Air Jordan releases 2019 next year. Despite its current nickname, cow fur is not the only material appears over its uppers. On the contrary, the underlying base of its uppers appear to be made up of faux snakeskin material, while the overlays on top of it are all covered in cow fur. Of course, as you can see, its uppers are completely Black and so are most of its midsoles. Dark Concord-colored detailing can also be spotted and it is equipped with icy, translucent outsoles.
