Michael Jordan’s tenure as a member of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels has served as a source of inspiration for many different cool Air Jordan sneakers. The Air Jordan 10 is latest model to have been dressed up in a UNC colorway that many 23isBack readers probably fond of. It joins other popular silhouettes to have received this UNC treatment, such as the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4. However, as of now, there is no indication of whether or not any upcoming 2014 or 2015 Jordan release dates associated with them.
In recent years, players who have pledged to join the UNC Tar Heels have come to expect that sooner or later Jordan Brand will be treating them with some special PE sneaker. It is actually quite natural. Over the past couple of years, Jordan Brand has added Tar Heel touches to various coveted Air Jordan silhouettes exclusively for the current players of the team as a nod to Michael Jordan’s alma mater.
With the season is in progress, the UNC Tar Heels recently hit the court wearing this custom Air Jordan 10 pair. Primarily, the upper of this Air Jordan 10 “UNC” PE consists of white leather. Through the upper, University blue finishes can also be spotted, such as the mudguard of the sneaker that features the trademark UNC argyle pattern. The heel tab, midsole, and tongue are in black, providing the appearance of this sneaker with some depth.
The ankle of the Air Jordan 10 usually features either the number “23” or “45,” but the Air Jordan 10 PEs for the UNC Tar Heels have been finished off with the numbers of the players. For instance, the picture seen here is of JP Tokoto’s new jordans, since the ankle has his number 13 stamped on it. Although the UNC Tar Heels may receive further PEs in the future, 23isBack release dates readers are probably wondering if this pair will ever hit the shelves. Now news of any 2014 or 2015 Jordan release dates attached with the Air Jordan 10 “UNC” PE as of yet.
