Perhaps the last and final release of the Jordan Jumpman Team 1 Retro took place back in September 2014 when it arrived in a “Sports Blue” colorway. On the other hand, the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 has been absent from the sneaker scene for quite a long time, but that is all going to obviously change next year. By now Jordanheads are likely aware that Jordan Brand is bringing back the Jumpman Team 2 next year, but until now, they probably only knew about the Jordan release 2016 of the “Bulls” colorway. However, the latest news is that the Jumpman Team 2 will also hit the shelves in “Cool Grey” in 2016.
It was back in 1998 when the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 originally made its retail debut. The sneaker is now regarded as a vintage silhouette and many Jordanheads rightfully believe that it resembles many of Jordan Brand’s other signature models, especially the Air Jordan 13. This similarity is likely a result of the almost identical perforations that cover the side panels and that the shape of its midsole is the same as that of the Air Jordan 13. The Jumpan Team 2 even sports the Ferrari-inspired Jordan Jumpman logo on the ankle, which was like borrowed from the Air Jordan 14.
Next year’s “Cool Grey” rendition of the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 is a solid Cool Grey sneaker with an upper that is actually dressed up in dual shades of grey. The upper itself is covered in the lighter grey hue, while the darker one makes an appearance over the perforated overlays. Unlike the “Bulls” colorway, this version does not have “JORDAN” spelled out across its textured midsole, which is is instead simply covered in the darker grey shade. This perhaps makes it look more sophisticated and subtle. While it has not been confirmed exactly when it will be dropped, a Spring Jordan release 2016 is being slated for the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 “Cool Grey.”
