Jordan Brand’s first remastered retro sneaker, the Air Jordan 4 “Columbia” or “Legend Blue,” made its retail debut earlier this month on January 10th, 2015. The next colorway of an iconic retro that will be up for grabs for any Jordanhead, (including 23isBack readers) who wants to cop them, is the Air Jordan 7 “French Blue.” It has been a very long time since this particular colorway of the Air Jordan 7 silhouette was last seen, but finally one of the 2015 Jordan release dates has been reserved for it.
It has actually been 13 years since the Air Jordan 7 model was seen sporting this pristine range of colors back in 2002. However, this is not the only thing that makes the release of this “French Blue” sneaker so special. This also happens to be the first colorway of the Air Jordan 7 to make its retail debut this year, and if 23 is Back readers recall, 2015 marks the 23rd Anniversary of the silhouette.
In order to preserve the original build quality of this colorway from thirteen years ago, supple tumbled white leather has been used for the upper of this sneaker, regardless of the sizes. Like the original, the French Blue and University Blue hues also make an appearance on the heel, midsole, sole, and tongue of this sneaker, adding some color to these otherwise simple kicks. As the finishing touch, hints of Flint Grey can also be found throughout the upper of this pair.
Keeping in mind all the hype behind Jordan Brand’s Retro Remaster Program, Jordanheads (including 23isBack readers) will likely find the quality quite comparable to that of OG Air Jordan kicks. The wait is nearly over for the Air Jordan 7 “French Blue” to hit the shelves since January 24th, 2015 had already been announced as one of the Jordan release dates 2015 when this remastered retro will retail at $140, alongside the Air Jordan Dub Zero.
