air-jordan-1-retro-high-og-unc-2015The nickname of this original Air Jordan Retro High colorway likely makes it obvious that it had been designed as a nod to the University of North Carolina where Michael Jordan had studied. More specifically, the colorway took its inspiration from the North Carolina Tar Heels, the men’s basketball team representing the university that Michael Jordan played for between 1981 and 1984. It was back in 1985 when this sneaker had made its original retail debut, and the original rendition of this colorway was never seen again on a retail shelf until now. Fortunately, the returning iteration will be hitting the shelves in OG form, which makes it quite special and fit to belong in the Holiday 2015 collection.
