The Jordan Inspired By Nick Minaj Turns Out To Be The Jordan Jasmine

This year’s Jordan Brand Classic took place back in April and once the high school All-Star basketball game had come to an end, Nicki Minaj performed on the stage and revealed that she had signed to Jordan Brand. Soon after, she also posted a photo of a never-before-seen lifestyle Air Jordan sneaker on her Instagram account. The sneaker has not yet made an appearance on retail shelves on one of the recent Jordan release dates 2015, but sneakerheads were assuming Jordan Brand had whipped up a signature model for Nicki.

jordan-jasmine-white-1While the silhouette is certainly fresh, it turns out that it was not exclusively designed for or inspired by the Harujuku Barbie, rather the actual official nickname of this brand new model is the Jordan Jasmine. Jordaheands who believe they know everything about Michael Jordan have just been given a hint of who may have served as a source of inspiration for this silhouette and they may have likely figured it out by now. Those who thought of Jasmine Jordan are absolutely correct because this brand mid-top model is designed and named after Michael Jordan’s daughter who recently graduated from Syracuse University.

Sneakerheads may notice that the shape of the Jordan Jasmine looks similar to that of the Russell Westbrook’s Westbrook 0, which is indeed the case. However, unlike Jordan Brand’s signature Air Jordan silhouettes, this sneaker sports an upper comprising of buttery tumbled leather while the mudguard is covered in a contrasting dissimilar leather finish. As a result, this sneaker features a sort of a faux contrast even though its upper is nearly entirely White-colored. The upper rests upon a vulcanized tooling sole unit and has been topped with Gold branding.

jordan-jasmine-white-2Considering that it is summer, this almost all-White clean, crispy lifestyle sneaker is an ideal choice for the season. The influence behind Jordan Jasmine and its feminine makeup probably makes it apparent this sneaker is more-suited for small-footed Jordanheads, especially since it has been created in sizes up to 7Y. Well, instead of waiting for news of potential upcoming Jordan release dates 2015, the lifestyle sneaker is already up for grabs at retail stores like JimmyJazz.com.
