In the past, Jordan Brand have dropped a “Galaxy” colorway of just about every signature model from their Air Jordan line. On the very first day of December 2015, Jordanheads were almost led to believe that perhaps the Jumpman had whipped up yet another “Galaxy” iteration of some other Air Jordan silhouette that had not received this treatment yet. However, it turned out that the Galaxy moniker was actually referring to the newest lifestyle model they had crafted. Jordan Brand provided sneakerheads with a first look at the Jordan Galaxy in the form of not one but two debut colorways.
The Jordan Galaxy appears to be somewhat similar to the Jordan Instigator and the Jordan Westbrook 0, Russell Westbrook’s off-court signature model. Considering that it is lifestyle silhouette, it sports a modern yet sophisticated aesthetic. Among its unique features, its tongue features an unconventional construction that grants it the burrito style. Moreover, the lateral and medial sides of this sneaker also feature contrasting textures. This is the reason that the Jordan Galaxy looks casual yet premium. Ever since being introduced, Jordan Brand have unveiled several different colorways of the model, including a dark grey, French blue, red, and white one.
The latest iteration of the Jordan Galaxy is perhaps the classiest and most elegant yet. As can be seen, full-grain black leather has been used for the lateral sides of the asymmetrical uppers, while the medial sides are made up of durable, black nylon mesh. The tonal black uppers have been combined with always-stylish gum rubber outsoles, while the heels also feature Jordan branding and the medial sides sport gold Jumpman tags. Finally, the addition of all-black laces completes the look.
Jordan Brand sure have been keeping sneakerheads waiting for the opportunity to cop their favorite releases in recent times, but that is not the case here. This Jordan Galaxy “Black/Gum” is already available for $135.
