Keeping in mind Jordan Brand’s continued success with the Jordan Future, it was only a matter of time before they whipped up yet another lifestyle sneaker silhouette. In fact, 23isBack readers likely recall that they had introduced the Jordan Instigator by the end of 2014 and this week, the Jordan Eclipse was unveiled. Although there is no news of any potential Jordan release dates 2015 when this brand new sneaker model will debut, it is more than a coincidence that it resembles the Nike Roshe Run.
The Nike Roshe Run gained tremendous popularity soon after it hit the shelves. Hence, it should come as a surprise that sneaker brands like Lugz, New Balance, Puma and many others took inspiration from the Roshe’s design and dropped similar-looking pairs. Although Jordan Brand is technically a subsidiary of Nike, it did not stop them from doing the same by designing the Jordan Eclipse, which bears a stark resemblance to the Nike Roshe Run.
Rumor has it that Jordan Brand’s Eclipse model was seen during a recent Foot Locker preview as it sat on a shelf. Since it is obviously a lifestyle silhouette like the Jordan Future, the sneaker does not feature much branding. Apparently, this new jordans simply boasts a white Jordan Jumpman logo, along with what appears to be ‘Nike Air’ wording, on the heel. The upper itself seems to be made of navy tight meshing, while the laces are surrounded by suede paneling and Phylon cushioning has been added to the white sole.
Regardless of the abovementioned details, 23isBack readers should keep in mind that nothing has been officially revealed by Jordan Brand, so all of this is based off assumptions and word of mouth. The latest rumor that is currently circulating around the Internet is that the Jordan Eclipse might actually be arriving at retailers on one of the February Jordan release dates 2015 in multiple colorways.
