The Jordan Dub Zero Returns After 10 Years In A Wolf Grey Colorway

10 years have passed since the Air Jordan Dub Zero model made its original retail debut back in 2005. Up until the last few months of the previous, Jordanheads had probably been thinking that another Dub Zero sneaker would not hit the shelves any time soon. However, now that official images of the latest “Wolf Grey” colorway of the Dub Zero have been unveiled and one of the Jordan release dates 2015 has already been confirmed, there should be no doubt left that this pair is arriving.

There is even a possibility that this sneaker colorway had been lying in Jordan Brand’s archive for quite some time, until they finally decided to release it. The fact of the matter is that ever since the original release of this silhouette, the Dub Zero has been revised five times.

As many 23isBack readers might already be aware, the Air Jordan Dub Zero happens to be one of Jordan Brand’s many hybrid sneakers. The many retro elements that the Dub Zero has borrowed from other Air Jordan silhouettes include the midsole/outsole from the Air Jordan, the heel tab from the Air Jordan 6, the upper shape fro the Air Jordan 13, and finally the laser detailing from the Air Jordan 20.

The Laser motif that covers the charcoal black side panel overlays even makes this colorway appear somewhat UNC-inspired. The heel pull tab, inner lining, Jordan Jumpman logo on the tongue and the outsole are also covered in the Carolina/University blue hue. As a nod to Jordan Brand’s 30th Anniversary, the insole even bears the “30” branding.
