It was back during the beginning July this year when news began circulating that the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Maroon” sporting the Nike Air branding would be making a comeback later this year. It was back in 2000 when the “Black/Infrared” colorway of Air Jordan 6 last boasted the Nike Air branding. Later that month, on-foot photos of the sneaker had also popped up, making it even more evident that the 2015 jordan release dates of the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Maroon” was going to take place and that each heel of the sneaker does indeed feature the Nike Air logo.
The Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” itself was last seen on retail shelves twenty four years ago. Back in 2000, Jordan Brand had dropped the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared,” which came with the original logos, and now Jordan Brand is repeating the same with this upcoming Retro “Maroon” colorway. Throughout the past 15 years, the Jumpman logo could be spotted on the heel of every Air Jordan 6 pair that has hit the shelves.
A great deal of time has passed since the return of the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” was first announced and with each passing day, the anticipation of sneakerheads has likely been growing. It can even be assumed that many of them had started doubting whether or not the sneaker would even arrive at retailers once again. Fortunately, @j23app has confirmed through Instagram that the Jordan release of the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” will indeed take place before this year comes to an end.
The latest release detail related to the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” is that this sneaker also joins Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2015 releases. Based on what @j23app has revealed on their Instagram account, the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” will hit the shelves on December 5th. It has also be revealed that the retail price of the sneaker will be $220. Considering how busy December can be, this is one particular Jordan release 2015 that sneakerheads would not want to miss out.
