It is the 10th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 20 this year and it is also the 30th Anniversary of Jordan Brand. So, in commemoration of both these milestones in the Air Jordan history, two iterations of the twentieth signature silhouette already arrived at retailers earlier this year, namely the “Laser” and “Stealth” colorways. After a brief hiatus, one of the recent Jordan release dates 2015 finally marked the retail debut of yet another Air Jordan 20 pair, the “Playoffs” edition.
No doubt, the Air Jordan 20 pairs that hit the shelves earlier this year caught the attention of many Jordanheads, but the Air Jordan 20 “Playoffs” that recently arrived at retailers is an instant head-turner. This should not seem surprising, considering that this rendition capitalizes on and takes full advantage of the distinctive-look model. This year, not only did the Air Jordan 20 receive the retro treatment, the laser print that originally made its debut on this silhouette also made a comeback. This year, Laser-themed iterations of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 also made their retail debut and the laser print is back once again, this time on this Air Jordan 20 “Playoffs.”
It must be kept in mind that the “Playoffs” is a never-before-seen version of the Air Jordan 20 so it is certainly worth copping. The sneaker sports a matte Black upper while White makes an appearance on the heel, midfoot strap and toebox. Both the midsole and the outsole’s pods are covered in Cool Grey and the final touch comes is featured in the form of the White laser graphics that are etched n the midfoot strap.
Thus, it is understandable why anyone laced up in these kicks is sure to turn heads. This Air Jordan 20 colorways, despite sharing similarities with the previously released renditions, tends to stand out because of its unique color blocking, especially visible on the toebox. Since June 6th is now amongst the Jordan release dates 2015 that have passed, sneakerheads who were not aware of this release can go ahead and grab a pair of the Air Jordan 20 “Playoffs” now.
