Jordan Brand’s “LAB” series seems to be on a roll, considering the 11LAB4 is arriving at retailers this month for the very first time and the next installment in the series has already been unveiled, which is the 15LAB12 silhouette. Some Jordanheads could easily mistake this pair for a discarded “OVO” sample, especially because of the traces of gold featured on the all-white base. This new jordans is certainly the Jordan 15LAB12 and not only is it a part of the “LAB” series, it also belongs to Jordan Brand’s Element series. Considering the upcoming retail debut of the 11LAB4, it cannot be said for sure whether or not the Jordan 15LAB12 will also hit the shelves on one of the Jordan release dates 2015.
The fact of the matter is that even the 11LAB4 is secondarily a part of the Element series, but both this and the latest 15LAB12 silhouette belong in the “LAB” series. For those who are surprisingly not familiar or have never heard of it, the “LAB” series is one of Jordan Brand’s hybrid lineup of sneakers in which elements are borrowed from one Air Jordan retro and are implemented onto another. The nickname of this latest model likely makes it obvious that the mid cut form of the 15LAB12 makes it look nearly like an Air Jordan 12 pair, but the woven upper happens to be a signature element of the Air Jordan 15. This is a quite a plain and sophisticated colorway since it is an all-white pair, featuring gold hardware, namely the eyelets, and gold on the Jordan Branding, i.e. the “23” on the heel and the Jordan Jumpman logo present on the outsole.
The bottom line is that both the Element and the “LAB” series are two ingenious and innovative collections from Jordan Brand. Considering that Summer is nearly here, a sneaker with an all-white appearance like that of the 15LAB12 is ideal to be worn during the upcoming season, and despite its simplicity, the latest model from the “LAB” series looks quite luxe and premium. However, there is still no surity whether the Jordan 15LAB12 will arrive at retailers on one of the Jordan release dates 2015 or not.
