The Air Jordan 1 KO has always been regarded as somewhat of a mysterious version of Jordan Brand’s first signature sneaker silhouette and it is apparently returning in an original colorway much like last year. Back in 2014, the Air Jordan 1 KO made a comeback in two different OG colorways, namely the “Chicago,” “George Town,” and “UNC” renditions. However, one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 will mark the return of one of more the iconic iterations, the Air Jordan 1 KO “Bred.”
Last year, Jordan Brand proved that they were more than willing to showcase the “Nike Air” branding on retro Air Jordan pairs by bringing back OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1 KO. One of the reasons behind the mystery of the Air Jordan 1 KO is the fact that no one knows for sure what the “KO” stands for. Nonetheless, while the “Chicago” colorway hit the shelves as a solo release, the “Georgetown” and “UNC” iterations were dropped as a part of a “Rival Pack.”
This year, the Air Jordan 1 KO is making its way back in a colorscheme that Jordanheads never grow tired of, the Black and Red or “Bred” color combination. The upper of this particular Jordan 1 KO rendition is dressed up predominantly in Black, matching the tonal Black laces and tongue. Red makes an appearance on the ankle collar, Nike Swoosh and toebox. Down below, the sole unit is a combination of a crisp White midsole and a Red outsole, while the only photo of the sneaker available also reveals a Black Jordan “Wings” logo on the ankle colar.
Sneakerheads reading are probably already feeling impatient to learn if any of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 have been announced for the release of this sneaker. The fact of the matter is that Jordan Brand has actually not confirmed a release date yet, but based on rumors, Jordanheads can hopefully expect to cop the Air Jordan 1 KO “Bred” on August 8th, 2015.
