For a global and world renowned footwear brand like Jordan Brand, it makes perfect sense for them to drop college packs from time to time. Currently, the only question that many Jordanheads (including 23 is Back readers) probably have is why any more college packs have not been released by Jordan Brand. Although there are no hints pointing towards another college pack, one of the Summer Jordan release dates 2015 is already scheduled to mark the retail debut of this “Georgetown” colorway of the Air Jordan 11 Low.
23isBack readers who are well aware of Michael Jordan’s achievements probably know that he had made the game-winning shot for the North Carolina Tar Heels to defeat the Georgetown Hoyas during the NCAA Division 1 Championship Game back in 1982. So, it should be obvious where the inspiration for this Air Jordan 11 Low pair is coming from. Of course, it is not the only Air Jordan 11 Low pair that will hit the shelves in 2015 since Jordan Brand is planning to release this silhouette in a variety of other colorways.
As of lately, more recent photos of the Air Jordan Low 11 “Georgetown” have popped up online that provide a better and clearer glimpse at this new jordans, which was once a very rare Player Exclusive pair. However, this low-top version will definitely be hitting the shelves and this news has caused a lot of hype in the sneaker community.
The upper of this Georgetown-inspired pair has a Grey Mist mesh base with Midnight Navy patent leather overlays, especially covering the toebox. Both the laces and the midsole are white, while the finishing touch is added by an icy blue translucent outsole. By now, 23 is Back readers should likely have a clue that inspiration for this colorway comes from the battles between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Georgetown Hoyas, specifically revolving around MJ and Patrick Ewing. As of now, one of the Summer Jordan release dates 2015 on which Jordan Brand will apparently drop the Air Jordan 11 Low “Georgetown” is June 27th, 2015.
