Many blogs and websites had already started reporting on alleged 2015 Jordan release dates for the remastered Air Jordan retro sneakers that Jordan Brand was planning to drop this year. One such alleged release date was recently officially confirmed and so, 23 is Back readers can prepare themselves for the Air Jordan 10 “Lady Liberty” to hit the shelves by the end of this week.
Considering that the All-Star Weekend is underway, Jordan Brand is already set to launch the “Bulls Over Broadway” colorway of the Air Jordan 10 on Valentine’s Day. Of course, considering how sneakerheads are somewhat crazy about all-red sneakers, they are likely going to go crazy over this premium all-red retro new jordans. However, that does not mean that the “Lady Liberty” colorway will not garner equal admiration, especially since it is a nod to the Statute of Liberty, which stands in New York City where this year’s ASG is taking place.
As a result of the industrial boom, numerous skyscrapers were erected in New York City and the metallic silver base of this Air Jordan 10 pair attempts to resemble those. The Retro teal lining and hints of the hue on the grey outsole are a nod to the aged copper finish of the Statue of Liberty. This sneaker also features black paneling, laces and midsole, while black speckles can also be spotted on the outsole as well. Reportedly, the reason Retro Teal hue on the outsole appears to become more vivid towards the heel is because it signifies Michael Jordan’s achievements throughout his career.
It is quite monumental that out of all the potential February Jordan release dates, the day of the All-Star Game was selected by Jordan Brand to mark the retail debut of this sneaker. Thus, the Air Jordan 10 “Lady Liberty” will be making its way to retailers on February 15th, 2015, so 23 is Back will have more than one reason to feel excited, also because it is the day after Valentine’s Day.
