Throughout the recent NBA playoffs, a number of the league’s renowned athletes like Kawhi Leonard, LeMarcus Aldridge, Russell Westbrook and others have rocked the Air Jordan 30 on the court. The Western Conference Finals have already been turning out to be extremely competitive and with plenty of games still remaining, the Air Jordan 30 will likely be making more appearances on the hardwood. Russell Westbrook was the last seen wearing the Chicago Bulls-inspired “Gym Red” colorway of the model featured here and it can be expected that he will be wearing it throughout the finals. By then, Jordanheads will also be able to sport a pair.
Despite the official nickname of this Air Jordan 30 iteration, it cannot be denied that Michael Jordan’s former team was a source of inspiration behind it to quite an extent. Apart from the noteworthy features of this sneaker and the particular hues that appear all over it, there are also other details that tend to stand out. For instance, the woven uppers of this sneaker are apparently made up of a variety of materials mixed together and they have a smooth gradient finish. As a result, the front and midsection of the sneaker seem to be brighter, while the rear portion of the sneaker seems to be faded.
It can be seen that the uppers of this sneaker are predominantly covered in a gym red hue, which transitions into black towards the rear end of the sneaker. Furthermore, the collars, heel units, inner linings, laces and the tongues are also covered in black. The midsoles also appear to be sporting a subtle galaxy theme, the globe patches are featured on the tongues and the signature “XXX” logo can be spotted over the heels.
Russell Westbrook has already played a game while laced up in this Air Jordan 30 colorway and soon Jordanheads will be able to wear it as well. This Air Jordan 30 “Gym Red,” which is inspired by the Chicago Bulls, is set to retail at a price of $200 on May 21st.
