Out of all the sneakers that Jordan Brand has dropped on the recent Jordan release dates 2015, the Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago” is probably amongst the ones that Jordanheads had been impatiently awaiting. It should be obvious that the colorway is named after the Chicago Bulls, the team that the lengendary Michael Jordan played for throughout a major part of his professional basketball career.
Of course, name likely makes it obvious that the Air Jordan 1.5 is a hybrid silhouette, yet it played a notable part in the progress of Jordan Brand’s signature sneaker line. While the Air Jordan 1.5 looks like any other regular Air Jordan 1 pair, but the upper of the sneaker rests upon a 2.0 sole. It is yet to be seen whether or not modern sneakerheads will really grow fond of lacing up in this sneaker, but it cannot be denied that it is quite a classic with MJ’s legacy backing it.
The Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago” sports a sleek design consisting of a White base with a decal rather than a stitched-on Black Nike Swoosh on the side. The presence of the Nike Air branding on the tongue tab really adds to the retro vibes that this hybrid colorway gives off. The Chicago Bulls reference is obvious because of the Black, Red and White color scheme, resulting in a well-balanced sneaker that features an equal amount of all three hues. Branding on the sneaker also includes the “Wings” logo but instead of “Jordan” it spells “NIKE.”
Back when just about everyone was lacing up in Converse kicks, high-top sneakers were more fashionable during that time, but that does not mean that their popularity has waned. Obviously the 2.0 sole that the Air Jordan 1.5 is equipped with has proven to be comfortable and has been designed to absorb the jumps and leaps performed on a basketball court.
Overall, the Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago” can be regarded as a collector’s item and it is pair that every true Jordanhead would want to add to their collection. Luckily for them, the wait for upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 for this particular sneaker is finally over, so they can go ahead and grab a pair of the Air Jordan 1.5 “Chicago.”
