As per Jordan Brand’s annual tradition, the Air Jordan Retro 11 is slated to make its comeback this year and will be one of the Holiday Jordan release 2015. By now sneakerheads are likely aware of which iteration of Jordan Brand’s eleventh signature model is going to be arriving at retailers this December. For this year’s Holiday Season, Jordan Brand decided to pay homage to a still-unbroken record set by the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan with a colorway that they have dubbed “72-10.”
Jordanheads who also happen to be basketball aficionados cannot deny that the 1996-97 Chicago Bulls was the most exceptional team ever assembled in the NBA. They probably also recall that by the time their regular NBA season came to an end during that time, their final record consist of a massive 72 victories with merely ten losses. This is the reason that has yet to be broken by any NBA team and where the upcoming Air Jordan Retro 11 rendition gets its nickname from.
Another iconic fact about this unforgettable moment is that Michael Jordan was wearing the coveted Air Jordan 11 “Concord” at the time. Tinker Hatfield had designed the silhouette back when it was not certain whether or not Michael Jordan would ever be returning to basketball. Among this year’s Jordans 2015, there have been quite a few Air Jordan 11 iterations, including those of its low-cut form, that have hit the shelves in recent times. However, the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” is one of the most unique retro Jordans of this year.
Instead of the signature patent leather overlay, this Air Jordan 11 edition features tumbled leather that is not only glossy but also has some texture to it as well. Similarly, black tumbled leather replaces the mesh base and instead of the typical leather, the heel is made up of black suede. Moreover, the metallic red Jumpman logo is not merely stitched in, rather has actually been molded onto the sneaker.
New photos showcasing the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” continue to pop up, considering that it is one of the most anticipated Holiday Jordan releases 2015. Considering that December is just three months away, it should not come as a surprise that Jordan Brand has already confirmed the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” will be making its way to retailers on December 19th.
