Way back in 1985, numerous different iconic OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1 had made their retail debut, such as the “Bred,” the “Chicago” and the “Royal” colorways. However, they were not the only ones. There were actually several other iterations of Jordan Brand first silhouette that have never been brought back over the years for one reason or another. One such rendition is the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Navy” that has never been retroed in the past but it is now being rumored that its Jordan release date 2016 is all set for next year.
It will be for the very first time that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Metallic Navy” will arrive at retailers once again next year. In fact, almost all the “Metallic” iterations of the Air Jordan 1 from the early 80s era have been ignored and overlooked by Jordan Brand. Many sneakerheads have probably been anticipating and awaiting the re-release of those sneakers and their wait will finally be over, as far as one particular colorway goes. While there no official or unofficial photos Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Metallic Navy” have been unveiled yet, but it is more than likely that the sneaker is indeed being retroed after so many years.
Taking a look back at the appearance of the original, it can be assumed what the 2016 retro version is going to look like. The sneaker will consist of a smooth and tumbled leather upper that is covered entirely in white, while the collar, Jordan Wings logos, Nike Air tongue labels and the Nike Swoosh logos are all dressed up in Metallic Blue.
Jordan Brand has yet to announce an exact date for the Jordan release 2016 of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Metallic Navy”. However, the OG sneaker can be expected to make their first-ever retro retail debut sometime next year at select Jordan Brand retailers. Sneakerheads can also expect actual photos of the sneaker to pop up in the coming months.
