With winter gradually making way for Summer, Jordan Brand is already getting ready to pick up with their Air Jordan 1 High releases from where they are going to leave their Air Jordan 1 High releases. While that does not mean that Jordanheads will not be able to get their hands on more new Air Jordan 1 High pairs, they can expect the Air Jordan 1 Low to start hitting the shelves more frequently now. This Weekend, specifically Valentine’s Day, is already scheduled to mark the Jordan release date of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago,” but another OG colorway is also returning this year.
At least a few Jordanheads are likely aware that the original “White/Metallic Blue” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Low has never received the retro treatment. Even though a series of metallic renditions were indeed retroed back in 2009, for some reason Jordan Brand decide to leave out the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Metallic Blue.” Obviously, that only a certain number of old-school Jordanheads own a pair and the pairs that still exist today have likely undergone flaking, and wear and tear over these years. An example of this was a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Metallic Blue” that surfaced on eBay back in June 2014.
Instagram user @icyheatsole just recently posted a photo of a bunch of potentially upcoming Air Jordan sneakers, among which was this year’s returning Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Metallic Blue” rendition. Much like the original, the upcoming version is also a predominantly crisp White sneaker with a perforated toebox, while the Nike Air branding is featured on the tongue and the Nike Swoosh on the sides are covered in the Metallic Blue hue.
It is true that Jordan Brand has yet to publish official photos of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Metallic Blue.” However, there is still enough time because its Jordan release 2016 is apparently slated to take place on March 19th.
