Within the sneaker community, Spike Lee is widely recognized as the man responsible for playing a part in the creation of the Jordan Spizike, which was inspired by his Mars Blackmon commercials. Until recently, many Jordanheads may have assumed that the days of Jordan Brand and Spike Lee collaborating with each other were over. Obviously, it would have been quite a surprise for them when the Air Jordan Spike 40 was unexpectedly introduced not so long ago, without any warning. Of course, the Jordan release of the Spike 40 was not supposed to be a one-time occurrence, so it will once again arrive at retailers this month in another colorway.
The fact of the matter is that both Jordan Brand and Spike Lee are planning to drop plenty of other colorways of the silhouette in coming future, judging from this new one that will be available next month. Some Jordanheads probably feel that this brand new Air Jordan Spike 40 colorway resembles the Air Jordan 5 Supreme that made its retail debut last month. As can be seen, the upper of this hybrid Air Jordan is predominantly dressed up in Black, while the Jumpman logo featured on the tongue, the lace-lock, the Nike logo featured on the heel and the outsole are covered in Fire Red. Making this sneaker stand out even more, the cement speckle detailing, which is typically found on the Air Jordan 4, has also been borrowed and spread over the midsole.
Considering that an announcement has already been made, so it can be pointed out that the Jordan release of this Air Jordan Spike 40 “Fire Red” is scheduled to take place on December 16th. If Jordanheads take a good look at this sneaker, they might even feel that it gives off quite the Holiday vibes and they will be able to cop a pair just in time for Christmas.
