2015 is turning out to be a magnificent year for Air Jordan retros, considering that the last eight months or so have marked the return of numerous classic and iconic colorways. Moreover, the remaining four months of this year will also mark the arrival of plenty of other worth copping kicks. However, this time Jordanheads can look forward to another Jordan releases 2016 that has been added to the list of Air Jordans 2016 that have already been unveiled. Joining them is the Air Jordan 2 Low “Chicago,” which is slated to make to return next year.
The Air Jordan 2 had originally been introduced back during the 1986-87 season and it was retroed back in 1995 after Michael Jordan had retired from the NBA. In 1995, the Air Jordan 2 Low had also received the retro treatment for the very first time when Jordan Brand re-released its “White/Black-Red” colorway that was worn by Michael Jordan during the Slam Dunk Contest in the 1987. However, perhaps the most popular colorway of the Air Jordan 2 Low is this Chicago Bulls-inspired iteration that is going to hit the shelves again next year.
This classic rendition of the low-top Air Jordan 2 is made up of a leather upper that is predominantly dressed up in white along with a white collar that sports embossed reptile texture. The heel, outsole and side panels of the sneaker feature traces of red, while hints of black detailing can be spotted on the inner lining and midsole.
The mid-top counterpart of the Air Jordan 2 Low has also been frequently re-released in this same “Chicago” colorway and it has been an instant hit each time. Perhaps the Jordan release 2016 of the Air Jordan 2 Low “Chicago” will also lead to similar results. However, Jordan Brand has currently not dropped any hints regarding the exact date on which this sneaker will be arriving at retailers next year.
