When it comes to the men’s and women’s pairs of the Air Jordan 12, the size difference is obviously the most certain way of telling them apart. While the size difference is not always apparent, especially in photos, fortunately there is another way to distinguish a men’s Air Jordan 12 pair from a GS-sized one. Namely, Air Jordan 12 pairs in men’s sizes tend to have an additional ninth eyelet, which is present above the model’s two signature metal loops. The fact that the Air Jordan 12 “Hyper Jade” does not have a ninth eyelet as can be in the above photos, hence it is GS-sized.
The Air Jordan 12 GS “Hyper Jade” probably reminds Jordanheads of the “Gamma Blue” colorway of the model. Back in 2013, there had been a tremendous amount of hype surrounding the release of the Air Jordan 12 “Gamma Blue,” so much so that even several notable figures had laced up in the sneaker that year. One of them was Drake, who showed off his Air Jordan 12 “Gamma Blue” pair that he had received directly from Jordan Brand. The other was Russell Westbrook, the current point guard of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who went as far to share a photo of himself laced up in the sneaker.
So was there have been on on-foot photos of the Air Jordan 12 GS “Hyper Jade,” but small-footed Jordanheads can still get a good look at the sneaker. As can be seen, the sneaker’s uppers are predominantly clad in ominous Black, which serves as the base for the eye-catching Electric Blue-colored overlays that cover the mudguard areas of this sneaker. The same striking hue also appears over its inner linings and soles, while some Silver accents can also be spotted.
What distinguishes the “Gamma Blue” from the “Hyper Jade” colorway is that the Blue that appears on the latter is relatively lighter. As far as copping the Air Jordan 12 GS “Hyper Jade” is concerned, sneakerheads will have to wait for this month to head because it is scheduled to retail at a price of $140 on July 2nd.
